In 1957 my father, Martin Boggs, ran for
state representative in Indiana.
He bought a Kelsey hand operated
letterpress to print his own campaign
cards and flyers.
He lost the election but continued to print,
opening his first shop in Indiana.
"ECONOMY PRESS"
In the mid 1960's, the cold and snow
drove him to Florida where he opened
a shop in Orlando, Florida.
"MARTIN BOGGS PRINTING COMPANY"
He later moved to Bradenton, Florida.
In 1980 he opened a shop out of his garage.
"PRINTING POST"
Which is where I came in and still operate.
My father passed away on June 10, 2008.
He is deeply missed.
This is a photo taken of him at his
Chief printing press in August 2000.
